The Trinidad International Rugby Sevens Tournament (TIRST) marks an exciting new chapter in the Caribbean’s longest-running club Rugby 7s event. What began in Trinidad in the 1980s has evolved into an internationally recognized tournament, with successful runs at various venues in Tobago, then moved on to Barbados—including iconic matches at Kensington Oval—and a dynamic era at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Grenada from 2022 to 2025.
In 2026, the tournament arrives in Trinidad, bringing world-class Rugby 7s to the Hasley Crawford Stadium and continuing its legacy of excellence.
Renowned for attracting top Men’s and Women’s club teams from around the globe, TIRST continues to grow in prestige, with Elite and Social Competitions, international participation, and high-stakes rewards. Teams from across the world are already lining up to be part of this next chapter.
Beyond the action on the field, TIRST delivers a vibrant, family-friendly festival atmosphere.
The tournament will once again be accompanied by a full week of official events—blending rugby, social experiences, and destination discovery—while bringing people together, supporting charitable initiatives, and celebrating the spirit of the global rugby community in true Caribbean style.
The festivities tee off with a Charity Golf Tournament, followed that evening by a Welcome Party featuring drink specials at Tommy’s Brewing Company. On Thursday night, the celebrations continue with a Prize-Giving Ceremony and After-Party at the Starlift Steel Orchestra Panyard. Then, on Friday, unwind at the Free Beer & Hot Dogs Beach Bash—strictly for recovery purposes, of course… lol!
